If you shave with a razor, you can simply apply olive oil to your skin instead of using shaving creams and gels. You can also leave your razor blade immersed in olive oil to stop it from rusting.

The same goes for shaving your beard: the viscosity of olive oil allows the razor to slide more easily across your face.

In general, remember that when olive oil is combined with something else, such as water, it mixes with the hydrolipid film, penetrates it deeply and becomes a better carrier – both of itself and of the other substances.

A pure oil, on the other hand, will remain more on the surface and will then exert a softening action.
